Property management mails a paper bill. Tuition is a separate portal. Renovation contractors want WeChat Pay. The wedding venue wants a deposit receipt the same day. Every category, every recipient, every method — separate.
Billpay collapses the six biggest categories into one app, one identity, one receipt format. KYC once, pay anything.
Built around the bills Hong Kong residents actually pay every month.
Residential, commercial, public housing, parking, and monthly building management charges. The full Hong Kong spectrum — monthly leases, six-month commercial cycles, parking-space-only contracts, plus the estate office bill. One permanent receipt the management office can verify in seconds.
Sub-types
School fees, kindergarten, tutorial centres, university deposits. Every payment goes with an audit-ready receipt for your records — and the school's.
Deposits, milestone payments, final settlement. Pay contractors with an audit trail that proves the milestone happened.
Venue deposits, package balances, vendor settlements. A clear receipt for every step of the planning timeline.
Personal-line corporate insurance premium payments — covered for the consumer-facing case in v1.
Pay a private seller for a marketplace handover — second-hand goods, ticket resale, peer-to-peer purchases. Both sides get an audit-ready receipt for the transaction.
Designed so the second bill, the tenth bill, and the hundredth bill all take under a minute.
Request early accessHong Kong identity verification via Jumio — typically under two minutes. Your KYC stays attached to your account for every future bill, regardless of category.
Choose from the six categories. Enter what you owe, who you owe it to, when it's due. Add a supporting document if you want (tenancy agreement, invoice).
FPS, card, Alipay HK, or WeChat Pay HK. The custodial path means the payment goes through Synque on its way to the recipient — recorded, audited, regulated.
Your receipt is instant and audit-ready (you can re-download anytime). The recipient receives the funds within ~3 business days via the rail they prefer.
Billpay is custodial — every payment flows Payer → Synque → Receiver. We don't just hand off and forget. The money sits in a regulated middle account, with a double-entry ledger tracking every cent until it's delivered.
You get a receipt. They get the money. We hold the audit trail.

Every dollar accounted for via double-entry ledger. Held-balance per recipient. Distribution evidence.
FPS, card, Alipay HK, WeChat Pay HK — pick the one your recipient prefers. All routed through the same custodial path and the same ledger.
The Hong Kong way. Direct bank-to-Synque via Faster Payment System. No card fees, instant confirmation.
Visa, Mastercard. 3DS-secured via Nuvei. Useful when you want card rewards on a large bill payment.
Scan-to-pay or in-app redirect. Useful for paying contractors and merchants who prefer Alipay HK.
Scan-to-pay or in-app redirect. Useful for cross-border vendors who collect via WeChat Pay HK.
One ledger, every method. However you pay, the receipt format is the same and the audit trail lives in one place.
Built around how Hong Kong actually moves money. FPS is the default, cards are an option — not the other way around.
English-first today. Traditional Chinese coming in v1.1. Both are first-class — neither is an afterthought.
No FX surprises. No multi-currency confusion. HKD all the way through, with the ledger in HKD too.
KYC data, payment data, and audit logs are all stored with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance in scope from day one.
Billpay is in private beta. The platform is operational; we're onboarding early-access users in cohorts so we can keep the support quality high. Tap "Join the waitlist" — we'll reach out when it's your turn.
FPS is one of the methods Billpay uses — but Billpay adds the things FPS doesn't: a clean recurring payee directory across six categories, audit-ready receipts the recipient can verify, attached supporting documents (tenancy agreements, invoices), and one identity that works across every bill type.
When you pay, the money goes Payer → Synque → Recipient. Synque is the regulated middle account. We hold the money briefly, record it in a double-entry ledger, then distribute to the recipient via their preferred rail (usually FPS-out). The custodial step is what makes the receipt and audit trail verifiable on both sides.
Distribution happens within ~3 business days. The receipt is instant for you, the distribution to the recipient runs on a settlement cycle. Both events are timestamped and visible in your transaction history.
They don't have to. The recipient is data on the bill (name + FPS proxy or bank details). There's no recipient login, no whitelist, no signup pressure on the other side. You enter their details, we deliver.
In v1, no — every bill is a deliberate, one-tap payment. We made this choice for safety: no stored payment instrument, no eDDA mandate, no autopay surprises. Recurring reminders are on the v1.1 roadmap (you'll get a nudge on the due date, but you'll always tap to pay).
Hong Kong ID for Hong Kong residents, plus a real-time selfie liveness check. Powered by Jumio. Done once, used for every future bill.
FPS, Visa / Mastercard (3DS-secured via Nuvei), Alipay HK, and WeChat Pay HK. Each method is routed through the custodial path — the receipt format and audit trail are identical whichever method you pick.
We're onboarding early-access users in cohorts. Send us a WhatsApp message — let us know which category matters most to you, and we'll reach out when your cohort opens.
