Questions operators ask

Can we sell day passes and memberships side by side?

Yes. Plans are configured per operator — annual, monthly, day passes, class packs, personal training, locker rental, guest passes, any mix. A day-pass walk-in and a recurring monthly member are handled on the same front desk.

How does monthly auto-renew work?

Monthly memberships generate a renewal order automatically each cycle (e.g. on the 20th), then the batch charges itself on a fixed day (e.g. the 24th at 04:15). Successful charges reconcile on their own; failed ones retry, and members can re-pay from their phone. Your team only touches the handful that need attention.

Can members freeze or cancel?

Yes. A membership can be frozen or suspended, and access updates the same second — including at the turnstile. Status, eligibility dates, and dues are all on the member record the front desk sees.

How do members check in, and what about lockers?

Members scan their digital card at the turnstile, or the front desk finds them in one search. Check-in stamps a time-in and assigns normal + shoe lockers; check-out releases them. It’s all on the member’s record.

Is this separate from our payments and CRM?

No — it’s the same platform. Memberships sits alongside Synque CRM, Payments, POS, and Shop, writing to the same customer record. It’s built in, not bolted on.

Is it live anywhere today?

Yes. Kaishing runs a fitness membership operation at the ICC (International Commerce Centre, Kowloon) on Synque, including check-in, lockers, and the recurring monthly charge cycle.
